Noise reduction software is an invaluable tool for reducing and eliminating unwanted noise from our audio signals. Depending on the microphone’s self-noise, electromagnetic interference, and the ambient sound of the environment, varying noise levels will also be recorded. Though many audio production tasks can be done in-the-box, recording audio with microphones is still very much a requirement in many projects.
Plugins are, therefore, invaluable assets for the modern audio engineer. We’re currently living in the age of digital audio, and in-the-box mixing within a digital audio workstation is commonplace.
